WHO and WHAT are ARIAs?
The Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) is the national trade group that represents the Australian Recording Industry.

ARIA CHARTS:
The ARIA Charts is the main Australian music sales charts, recording the top-selling songs and albums across numerous genres based on weekly PHYSICAL and DIGITAL data.ARIA Charts are released on Fridays at 5pm AEST/AEDT.
STREAMING:
First and foremost, streaming is just listening to music of an artist, in ARMYs case BTS.A stream is when someone listens to a song or watches a music video via a streaming platform (e.g. Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube, etc.) but does not own or has not permanently downloaded the content.ARIA counts streams from the following streaming platforms:
- Spotify
- Apple Music
- Deezer
- Amazon Music
- YouTube and YouTube Music

ARIA only counts TEN streams of a song per day, per account, per platform. This is why we strongly encourage Aussie ARMY to diversify their streaming platforms. This allows you to 'rest' one platform and use another to get more streams in.BUT we DO NOT stop streaming after 10 reps of a song.Because:
A) The 10 limit ONLY applies to what ARIA will count for their charts. ALL streams are applied to Billboard (BB) Global charts as well as platform specific charts.B) We might have a 24hr platform record we want to break.C) MOST IMPORTANTLY - BTS are PAID ROYALTIES on ALL STREAMS, not just the first 10. So DO NOT STOP STREAMING.

When streaming, it’s really important to avoid “bot behaviour.” Streaming platforms look for unusual patterns that don’t seem like a real person listening to music, and if they detect it, those streams may get filtered out and not count.Bot behaviour can include things like:- Playing the same song on loop (back-to-back without breaks).- Not using filler or recommended songs in between repeats.- Never interacting with the playlist or streaming app (like skipping, changing playlists, or adding to queue).- Having a very repetitive or robotic streaming pattern. To make sure your streams count, always stream naturally: mix in different songs, use playlists with fillers, and interact with the platform just like you normally would when listening to music. This helps show genuine fan engagement and ensures the streams are recognised. Each streaming platform has their own rules/guidelines. Please refer to the below links for further information about each streaming platform.
